Tenet well received by International Audience

21-Sep-2020

Christopher Nolan's much awaited, Tenet, released in the USA on 3rd September 2020 and in China on 4th September 2020.

It is the first big film to release in certain countries globally amidst the ongoing pandemic. There were concerns that audiences might not go to cinemas because of the fear of catching Corona Virus and that collections won’t be at the maximum because of the social distancing measures taken by most cinemas. However, despite all these limiting factors, Tenet has managed to draw in audiences, thus proving the pent-up demand among the audiences to watch a film on the big screen.

Unfortunately, Nolan's fans in India will have to wait a while to catch the sci-fi action flick. The central government of India has opened up many sectors but not cinema halls. Warner Bros India is fully ready with the release of the film. They have obtained the censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on 13th August 2020. A source close to the studio revealed that the CBFC has given a U/A certificate and hasn’t asked for any visual or audio cut. This will be a treat for all the Indian fans, as often CBFC is known to make cuts in films. Tenet, however, will be an exception.

If you're wondering when will Tenet release in Gold Cinema properties across India? There’s no clarity on it as the government has not announced when cinemas can reopen.
